Meditation

In the Silence

Meditation is the scientific use of the mental faculty to achieve a focused awareness and intention at the level of Soul.

It is called “scientific” because, when the mental faculty is used in accordance with the natural laws of our form and Soul, the intended results are invariably produced.

Meditation or, better, “Inner Communion” is always a creative act. Through this creative act we can accomplish countless things. Yet, always we need to start with the creation of an INNER QUIET SPACE in our consciousness where communion with the Source of All takes place.

The creation of this inner quiet space challenges most us. Practicing with daily regularity moments of inner quietness is the key to mastering the art and science of inner communion with the Source of All.

The entire science and practice of meditation is based on the following simple, yet all powerful postulate of the Wisdom Teachings:

Wherever my attention is, THERE I am!
Upon whatever I focus my attention, THAT I become!

Two types of Meditation can be described based on their intention:

  1. Alignment Meditations
They are an act of “breathing in” the Light of the One Soul into our consciousness and form. The intention is to align our physical plane awareness, mind and feelings with that of our Divine Self in the plane of Soul, as well as, with the higher levels of Spirit.
The basic technique is: first, to identify oneself with each of the four sides of our being, seeing them in a balanced, harmonious relationship; and, second, to invoke with the combined power of our thoughts and feelings the flow of our Soul’s Light, Love and Life into our mental, feeling and physical bodies.
  2. Creative Visualization Meditations
They are an act of “breathing out” in a creative fashion the received Light. The intention is to create thought forms and to handle energies that can be used in building our vision of service and participation in the Divine Plan, as well as, for healing, transforming and magnetizing purposes.
The basic technique is: first, to invoke the Light, Love and Power of Divinity; and, second, to actively visualize these energies flowing through our mental, feeling and physical bodies out into the world.

The practice of these two kinds of meditations eventually blends into one, and our life becomes a continuous “breathing in and out” of the Divine Light. This conscious and intentional use of the Light of the Soul produces a replacement or transmutation of all the substances in our physical, feeling and mental bodies. This process is known as the Alchemy of the Soul.

Learning To Meditate

A regular rhythm in the practice of meditation is a requirement for rising one’s awareness to the level of Soul. This is so because the substances of our mental, astral and physical bodies answer more easily to a rhythmic activity than to sporadic and irregular efforts.
